155 Animal Inspectors Deployed in Central Jakarta

Vice Mayor of Central Jakarta, Eric Pahlevi Zakaria Lumbun, Tuesday (5/26) deployed 155 animal inspectors for Eid al Adha

spread into eight districts and 44 urban villages

According to Eric, the sending off of these officers was not merely ceremonial, but emphasized that the Central Jakarta City Government is present to ensure that the slaughter of sacrificial animals for Eid al-Adha 1447 H is carried out safely, healthily, and in accordance with Islamic law.

East Jakarta Deploys 177 Officers to Inspect Sacrificial Animals

"They are spread into eight districts and 44 urban villages," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of Central Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency, Siti Halimah explained the 155 officers inspecting sacrificial animals come from various elements, including the Indonesian Veterinary Medical Association (PDHI), the IPB School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedicine, Scouts, and the KPKP Agency and Sub-agency.

"We also cooperate with the Jakarta Environmental Sub-agency to ensure the cleanliness of the slaughter area," she stated.

Based on data on the slaughter of sacrificial animals in 2025, there were 450 sacrificial animal slaughter areas spread across eight districts.

"Meanwhile, 5,650 sacrificial animals were slaughtered, consisting of goats, cows, buffalo and sheep," she admitted.
